WiFi Camera Controller ZWO ASIAIR Plus
The ZWO ASIAIR Plus is the third generation of the innovative ZWO ASIAIR smart WiFi camera controller. The system is easy to use, and both beginner and advanced astrophotographers will find the ASIAIR Plus to be an exciting addition to their system. Adding this camera controller to your astrophotography setup will allow you to control the ZWO USB3.0 cameras and the ZWO miniseries. The ASIAIR technology can also control a selection of nearly 100 Canon and Nikon SLR and mirrorless cameras, over 400 common partial or equatorial alternate azimuth mounts, the ZWO EAF and the ZWO EFW (only the ZWO ASIAIR Plus is included with this purchase ). You can control this rig while using your phone or tablet to capture stunning images of the night sky.

The ASIAIR Plus body is smaller and lighter than its predecessors. It is 25% thinner and 13% lighter than the ASIAIR Pro. The body is made of CNC machined aluminum and the housing design protects the technology from dust and dew buildup. With laser carving technology, the top of the ASIAIR Plus features a design with the constellations Cassiopeia, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. You will find several status displays on the ASIAIR Plus body: an input power status display (PWR), a wireless network status display (WiFi) and a system I/O status display (SYS).

About enhanced antenna and WiFi capability
A built-in WiFi antenna is included with ASIAIR Plus. Compared to previous versions of ASIAIR, the antenna of the Plus version has an increased signal, which makes the connection between your device and ASIAIR Plus more stable. This also allows the signal range to be wider. With the inclusion of the antenna, you will finally see a stronger WiFi signal and faster communication.

This small device can totally replace your computer or a handheld controller mount. With wireless technology, you can even control your astrophotography equipment from inside! The 2.4G / 5G dual band WiFi network has a working range of up to 20m.

ZWO aSIAIR Plus has designed ASIAIR Plus so that you can also connect via Ethernet cable to your home WiFi router. This allows you to access the device anywhere within WiFi range of your router. There is no VNC or remote desktop; ASIAIR can handle all the tasks required for DSO imaging. These include Preview, Plate Resolution, Focusing, Polar Alignment, Guidance, Auto Run, Plan (multiple targets), Video (Planetary Imaging, Live Stacking, and more!

ASIAIR Plus Outputs and Ports

ZWO has also added indicators for the four DC-12V outputs to the ASIAIR Plus body. These indicators, along with a feature in the ASIAIR app, allow you to check power status easily and you can monitor power consumption in real time. You can find the app in major app stores. The ZWO ASIAIR Plus also comes with two USB2.0 ports and two USB3.0 ports that allow you to connect your ASIAIR device to your camera, mount, ZWO EAF and more. Be sure to check the power requirements for any device you plan to connect.

Also included are a Gigabit Ethernet port and a DSLR shutter release cable receptacle. The USB Type-C port allows connection to a laptop for exporting files from internal storage and TF card. This connection allows for data transfer, eliminating the need to remove the SD card and the use of a card reader. Note that a USB-C to USB-A cable is required, but is not included. ASIAIR Plus also supports external TF cards and USB drives for upgradeable storage capacity. Recommended storage capacity is 512GB and 1TB maximum. Three file system formats are currently supported: NTFS, FAT32 and exFAT.

Recovery mode and eMMC
Prepare for a smooth and stable experience with ASIAIR Pro. ZWO has included a recovery mode where the system will detect failures and recover if the ASIAIR Plus cannot boot. In addition, this version of ASIAIR has been redesigned with eMMC storage; there is 32 GB of storage space and 20 GB of free space to store images and videos. With eMMC, the I/O speed of ASIAIR Plus is up to 2.5 times faster than ASIAIR Pro.
