The Levenhuk Skyline BASE 70T is a refractor with fully coated glass optics. The optical surfaces are protected against fogging and require little care, while the optics produce sharp, detailed images. A 6x optical finder and altazimuth mount are used to target observed objects. Tracking stars, planets and nebulae in the firmament will be no problem even for an inexperienced astronomer.
A basic set of optical accessories is included, making the purchase of additional eyepieces unnecessary. The kit includes two eyepieces of different focal lengths, a 2x Barlow lens and a diagonal mirror. The accessories allow to obtain the maximum useful magnification of the telescope and to observe astronomical objects in detail. The diagonal mirror is used for terrestrial observations. Telescopes create an inverted image that is not suitable for ground-based observations. The diagonal mirror counteracts this phenomenon.
The altazimuth mount is stable and robust. An accessory tray is mounted on it. The tripod legs are height adjustable, which is useful if you need to place the telescope on an uneven surface or adjust it to the height of the observer.
