The 9x50mm right angle erect-image, illuminated reticle 9x50mm right angle finder from Celestron is a great improvement over the finders available for Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. The 50mm objective produces sharp, bright images with 9x magnification and a 5° apparent field of view. In addition, the right-angle, upright-image design keeps objects in the natural up-down and left-right orientation, making it very easy to locate and track them as they move across the field of view. The eyepiece assembly can be rotated to the left or right until the proper viewing angle is found.

The double crosshair reticle etched into the eyepiece makes it easy to center an object, whether it is to align your computerized telescope or to search for deep sky objects. The reticle can be focused separately from the finder itself. A battery-powered illuminator illuminates the crosshair reticle with a soft red glow, and the illumination can be conveniently adjusted by turning the on/off switch knob.

The Celestron 9×50 Finder is supplied with a sturdy clamp consisting of two rings and an integrated dovetail. Alignment of the finder is easily achieved with the oversized adjustment screws. The dovetail allows easy fitting and removal of most Schmidt-Cassegrain and EdgeHD optical tube assemblies without affecting finder alignment.
