Ondoscope OPTIKA SCIENCE.
An ondoscopeis a device used in experiments related to wave propagation in a liquid medium, preferably water with detergent (to decrease the tension of the fluid).
The base of the device is a rectangular container in the bottom of which a mirror is placed. At one end is a rod connected by an arm to an electric motor that causes the rod to perform a constant vertical movement. It is possible to change the frequency of the motor so that the speed of the bar is modified. The container is filled with liquid.
This ondoscope offers several advantages: ease of installation, ease of execution of the experiment, reliability and reproducibility of the results, and excellent visual resolution of the wavefronts.
The stroboscopic lamp consists of a high luminosity 3W LED, synchronized with the surface wave generator.
The control unit is equipped with a digital display that allows to configure or set the synchronism of the vibrator with the lamp; as well as to adjust the amplitude of the wave and its frequency.
The vibrator is of electrodynamic type.
Tray dimensions: 30 x 30cm.
Basic equipment:
- Point source for generating circular wavefronts
- Double point source for the study of interference
- Linear flap for linear wavefronts
- Biconvex refractive body
- Biconcave refractive body
- Flat-faced and parallel blades
