General characteristics EXOS-2 GOTO mount:
The EXOS 2 GOTO mount is the German EXOS 2 equatorial mount but with the motor set, control knob and computer installed.
The tracking motors are installed on both axes to track celestial objects with high accuracy and aim them at a rate of 4.5º per second.
The control knob with GOTO works reliably and controls the mount precisely. Quality bearings on both axes ensure minimal gear backlash at any of the 9 possible tracking speeds.
The battery pack (12V) is securely attached to the tripod and must carry 8 D-type batteries.
The mount rests on a strong, rigid steel tripod and can carry tubes weighing up to 13Kg.
gOTO: astronomical observation at the push of a button!
The GOTO system from Bresser allows beginners to start astronomical observations in just a few minutes, and guides you to the most difficult to locate objects using only a conventional finder.
Just press the button and the GOTO system will find planets, nebulae or galaxies for you and automatically and accurately point the telescope. The GOTO system has a database of over 30,000 objects stored in memory and still has space left over for you to store your particular objects.
Messier telescopes with the GOTO system allow you to observe without having to perform the tedious operation of searching for the object, or allow you to photograph faint objects that are difficult to find through an optical finder.
