Binocular microscope Levenhuk MED 20B

The binocular microscope Levenhuk MED 20B is designed for professional microscopy research at magnifications from 40 to 1000x. It uses a semi-flat achromatic optic that minimizes chromatic aberrations and significantly reduces the curvature of the field of view. This microscope is an excellent acquisition for a microbiology department, medical laboratory or research institute.

Its binocular head is perfect for prolonged observations as you can look through the microscope with both eyes. The visual part of the head has an inclination angle of 30°. The trinocular head can rotate 360°, which is useful for group research work. If you need to show a sample to a colleague, you only need to rotate the microscope head instead of moving the entire microscope.

Wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification and allow diopter adjustment for the sharpest possible image. The coarse and fine focus knobs allow adjustment of image sharpness. Both focusing systems have a small feed factor and allow the microscope to be set up for complex observations. The revolving nosepiece contains four objectives. The 40x and 100x objectives are equipped with a retractable housing. The 100x objective can be used for oil immersion observations (a special oil tube is included in the kit). Eyepieces and objectives are protected with an antifungal coating.

The stage is two-layer and is equipped with a mechanical micrometer. The illumination system consists of a lower light source and an Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm and filter holder. A 20 watt halogen lamp is used as light source. The brightness of the illumination is adjustable. The illumination is powered by an AC power supply. In addition, this microscope allows the Köhler illumination to be configured.

Caution:

Refer to the specification table for proper mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into a 220V outlet or vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage is 110V in the United States and Canada, and 220-240V in most European countries.
