Additional elements include polarizers, epifluorescence light and DIC prisms that exhibit minimal focusing deviations and correct aberrations. A 16 MP digital camera allows taking pictures and recording high-resolution videos. The resulting images can be used for professional work with microscopic specimens and for creating digital study files. The camera is connected to a computer with a USB cable (included in the kit) and transmits the image to an external display. Basic processing of the recorded images can be performed using the special software contained on the supplied CD.

The specimens are placed under the objective with the aid of a mechanical micrometer. The stage can be moved in two directions. There are knobs for coarse and fine adjustment of sharpness. The LED lamp is located at the bottom and has brightness adjustment. The illumination system also includes an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. Köhler illumination can be used.

The lighting is powered by an AC power supply.

Caution:
