The Levenhuk MED D40T is a digital microscope with a trinocular head and a 16 MP camera included in the kit. The flat achromatic optical system with infinity correction produces a flat field of view, eliminates chromatic aberration and allows observations with a high degree of detail. Köhler illumination and the oil immersion method are available. The Levenhuk MED D40T is a perfect optical instrument for a professional who needs a microscope with extended functionality and high quality optics.

The model Levenhuk MED D40T is a perfect optical instrument for a professional who needs a microscope with extended functionality and high quality optics.
Microscopes of the series Levenhuk MED 40 are equipped with an infinity corrected optical system used in professional and high quality microscopes. This system includes infinity-corrected plano achromatic objectives that produce clear, high-contrast images with a high level of flatness.
One of the most important features of an infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows any additional elements to be installed in the path between the objective lens and the eyepiece lens. Additional elements include polarizers, epifluorescence light and DIC prisms that exhibit minimal focusing deviations and correct aberrations. In summary, their design and ease of use make the microscopes Levenhuk MED 40 optical instruments are ideal for use in different types of microscopy and work in hematology, histology, microbiology and other laboratories.
The trinocular head is standard for microscopes with a digital camera included in the kit. The binocular part of the head is used for visual observations and the camera is installed in a separate eyepiece tube. There is no need to interrupt a study to take a photo or record a video of the observed specimens. The visual module is slightly inclined 30°, which avoids neck muscle strain during prolonged observations. The head can be rotated 360°, so there is no need to move the entire microscope to show a specimen to a colleague.
The kit includes optical accessories such as wide-field eyepieces with diopter adjustment and infinity-corrected plan achromatic objectives with varying degrees of magnification. The magnification range of the microscope is 40x to 1000x. The three higher magnification objectives have retractable rims. The 100x objective allows for oil immersion observations. All optics are protected by an antifungal coating.
A 16 MP digital camera allows taking pictures and recording high-resolution videos. The resulting images can be used for professional work with microscopic specimens and for creating digital study files. The camera is connected to a computer with a USB cable (included in the kit) and transmits the image to an external display. Basic processing of the recorded images can be performed using the special software contained on the supplied CD.
The specimens are placed under the objective with the aid of a mechanical micrometer. The stage can be moved in two directions. There are knobs for coarse and fine adjustment of sharpness. The LED lamp is located at the bottom and has brightness adjustment. The illumination system also includes an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. Köhler illumination can be used.
The lighting is powered by an AC power supply.

Caution:
Refer to the specification table for the proper mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into a 220V outlet or vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage is 110V in the United States and Canada, and 220-240V in most European countries.
