The microscope is equipped with a trinocular head. The binocular viewing part has a practical 30° inclination angle. The third eyepiece tube is vertical and allows the installation of a digital camera. This design allows conventional observations and at the same time the use of a camera to transmit the image to an external display or to record videos and photos. This head is also convenient to use thanks to its 360° rotatability.
The microscope uses plano achromatic objectives, which provide a nearly flat field of view and reduce chromatic aberrations. The objectives with 40x and 100x magnifications are equipped with retractable housings. In addition, the 100x objective can also be used for oil immersion observations. The eyepieces, with a wide field of view, have diopter adjustment and provide 10x magnification. Both objectives and eyepieces have a protective antifungal coating.
The digital camera sensor provides sharp and detailed images for research purposes. It can record videos at a high frame rate, so the resulting videos are very smooth. The software included in the kit allows processing the recorded videos and photos and setting up a digital camera. A USB cable, included in the kit, is used to connect the camera to a computer.
The stage is equipped with a mechanical micrometer. Sharpness adjustment is performed by turning the coarse and fine focus adjustment knobs. There is an Abbe condenser, equipped with an iris diaphragm and a filter holder. The kit includes a darkfield oil immersion condenser for observations using the darkfield method. The illumination system consists of a 20 watt halogen lamp with adjustable brightness. Köhler illumination can be configured. The illumination is powered by an AC power supply.
