Starizona HyperStar filter slider

The Filter Slider from Starizona is the perfect way to use multiple filters with the HyperStar. Most filter wheels are too large to be used with a HyperStar because they block most of the telescope's diameter. The new Filter Slider at Starizona HyperStar allows you to easily switch between filters without having to remove the camera from the HyperStar lens.

The Filter Slider from Starizona is unique in that it is perfectly circular and has no clamping knobs or other protrusions that could interfere with the light path. The body of the Filter Slider is small enough to add virtually no obstruction beyond that caused by the Hyperstar itself, and even considering the smaller 8" HyperStar.

The filter holder slides easily into the slot in the slider body, making the task of replacing one filter with another extremely easy even while in the middle of a shoot. Each holder uses small but powerful magnets that secure the filter holder in the right place. The magnets are strong enough to prevent any slight slippage but allow for easy removal when necessary.

The Filter Slider from Starizona has been designed to be simple to use. The filter holder slides easily into the main body. The Filter Slider from Starizona measures only 17.5mm thick, so it will work with most CCD camera combinations with HyperStar lenses.

The standard system is designed to go with 2" mounted filters, which have a 48mm threaded cell. The body has a female M48 thread on the Hyperstar side and a male T-thread on the camera side. Telescopiomania recommends the use of the new BAADER PLANETARIUM HIGHSPEED F2 filters as they have been specifically designed to work in combination with the Hyperstar systems.

A filter holder is supplied as standard with the Filter Slider. But if desired, Telescopiomania can supply extra filter holders to work with more than one filter already mounted.
