Apochromatic TS-Optics 140 mm f/6.5 Photoline Triplet
This apo is manufactured by Sharpstar for Teleskop-Service. The apochromatic is still portable and ideal for mobile astrophotography. Of course, the apo is also a good telescope for the observatory. The 140 mm aperture and the false-color-free image due to the triplet design allow a wide range of applications.
The 3-element objective is fully adjustable. Two ultra-low dispersion ED elements allow for an image free of chromatic aberration. Even bright stars will not have a color fringing.
The apochromatic with the large 4" rack focuser allows for astrophotography at the highest level. With the 0.75x 3" reducer you can achieve a fast f/4.8 with full image field correction up to full frame format. This allows you to easily expose an object in one night.
So the telescope service tests every 140mm f/6.5 apo:
♦ The telescope is checked cosmetically and the mechanics (focuser) are optimally adjusted.
♦ Collimation is checked on the optical bench (autocollimation) and improved if necessary.
♦ A series of images is taken, which is included with each telescope. Extra and intrafocal stellar image, focused stellar image and a Ronchi image.
Corrector connection for astrophotography
The apo offers a generous working distance, so you can work with the TSAPORED075 (0.74x reducer) and still focus.
If you want to adapt the TSFLAT25DEL (1.0x flattener), you need the following components.
♦ M68a-M63i - adapter to extend the M63 thread of the corrector to M68x1.
♦ 2x TSVM6815 30 mm M68x1 extension - to achieve smooth focusing. The extensions are placed between the M68x1 thread of the focuser and the adapter.
