The Levenhuk solar filter for 120 mm refracting telescopes is made of a special film for visual observations, Planetarium AstroSolar. The surface of the film Baader Planetarium is uniform, without bubbles or other defects, allowing sharp and clear images to be obtained through the filter.

How to choose the right telescope solar filter

When choosing a solar filter it is necessary to consider other factors in addition to the optical design and aperture of your telescope, as the filter must not only fully cover the objective lens, but also fit snugly into the microscope tube. It is also recommended to secure the filter to the optical tube with adhesive tape to prevent it from moving accidentally during observations.

The main factor in choosing the right solar filter is the diameter of the telescope tube/shield, which should correspond to the inner diameter of the filter (in case the filter is to be fitted to the outside of the tube) or to its outer diameter (in case the filter is to be fixed to the inside of the tube).
