WiFi Adapter for Vixen EQ mounts
The WiFi adapter Vixen for EQ mounts allows you to control your Vixen mount via smartphone or tablet.
With the smartphone app "STAR BOOK Wireless" (free), you can navigate the sky wirelessly.
The "STAR BOOK Wireless" app turns your smartphone or tablet into a controller for the equatorial mount in an instant.
Mount response delay, considered the biggest drawback of wireless connections, has been reduced to a level comparable to that of wired connections.
Reduced power consumption compared to traditional LCD monitor controls
The power consumption of the mount is reduced by up to 20%, allowing longer observations than with traditional wired controls such as the STAR BOOK TEN.
Operation similar to STAR BOOK TEN control
The STAR BOOK Wireless application is similar in design to the STAR BOOK TEN control you are familiar with.
It includes up to 259000 celestial objects, depending on the star map configuration.
Touch a celestial object in the list and activate the GoTo.
The mount automatically tracks to that target and places it in the telescope's field of view.

Comfortable operation while looking through the telescope
Control the mount by sliding your finger across the app's star map.
No buttons, simply slide your finger over the star map for easy control of the mount.
Complete astronomical data included
This includes data for easily observable celestial bodies such as Messier, NGC, IC objects, as well as the Sun, Moon, planets, comets and dwarf planets.
High-precision alignment
Alignment with one or two stars already provides fairly accurate positioning of the mount.
Alignment with three or more stars allows very high precision alignment of the mount for high magnifications.
Objects are then positioned precisely and centrally in the field of view of your telescope.
The alignment information is saved and can be maintained even when the device is switched off.
By leaving the telescope in its current state after an observation, without moving it, you can initiate automatic setup with the same settings on the next observation.
Customizable setting options
The app offers, as in the Starbook Ten control, several customizable settings, such as gear backlash compensation, red night mode, autoguiding, and variable GoTo speed and LED brightness.
You can also adjust the timing of the target tube flip (meridian flip) to your preference.
Even if the object moves south during tracking, you can prevent the telescope tube from flipping.
