Refractor TS 110 mm F6 F660 mm SD-APO Doublet
With its fast focal ratio of f/6, the ED is faster than single EDs, which are typically f/7 to f/9. To further achieve good chromatic correction, the special FPL51 glass was supplemented with another special glass (lanthanum glass). This achieves a correction equivalent to that of a normal ED refractor from f/7 to f/8. The high speed also offers advantages for astrophotography, an object can be exposed in a single night. Suitable 1.0x flatteners can be found in the accessories section.
All lens surfaces are multi-coated for maximum light transmission. Deflectors inside the optical tube and on the focuser prevent reflections and ensure sharp, high-contrast images.
The TS 110 mm SD-APO has a high-quality 2.7" gear-driven, ball-bearing focuser. This ensures sensitive and accurate focusing even with heavy accessories. The focuser supports 2" and 1.25" accessories. It can also use 2" diagonals and common correctors.
The extensive features are complemented by robust CNC tube rings and a rugged carrying and storage case.
Astrophotography with the TS 110mm f/6 SD APO
The fast apo is well suited for astrophotography. The robust 2.7" RAP focuser supports even heavy cameras, offers 360° rotation and features a micro-reducer for precise focusing. We highly recommend the following correctors:
WiflatT2 - corrector 1.0x
The corrector is simply plugged into the 2" socket and is well suited for cameras up to APS-C format. The working distance is 55 mm from the T2 thread.
TSFLAT25G2 - Full-format corrector 1.0xThe professional corrector is designed for full-format. The M74a-M68i transition adapter is required for connection to the APO. This allows you to screw the corrector directly to the focuser.
To obtain the correct working distance (55 mm from the M48 thread) you still need a 5 mm M68x1 extension sleeve No. TSVM685.
TSRED379 - Focal length reduction 0.79x
For all astrophotographers for whom f/6 is not fast enough, we offer a focal length reduction with field correction. The focal ratio is improved up to f/4.74. For connection to the APO you need the M74a-M68i transition adapter. This allows you to screw the corrector directly to the focuser.
To achieve the correct working distance of 55 mm from the M48 thread, you still need 2 M48 adjustment rings 1 mm thick # M48abstimmring1.
