In addition to the traditional functions, this travel tripod allows for low angle shooting or macro photography by either inverting the 2-section column or removing the ball head and attaching the included Low Angle Adapter (LAA). This function is enhanced by using the three easily adjustable leg angles (21°, 50° and 80°) that also allow you to set up the tripod for maximum stability on any terrain.
Where a tripod is not needed, a leg can be removed in seconds and attached to the center column to create a monopod, vlogging stick or selfie stick.
Quick twist locks allow the tripod to be set up in seconds, minimizing the risk of missing any scene. In addition, these leg locks are designed to be easy to disassemble, clean and reassemble, allowing you to set up the tripod on the beach or in dirty conditions with the confidence that you can easily clean them immediately when you get home.
The tripod also includes rubber feet and spikes, allowing you to choose the best setup for the conditions.Windy? No problem. Simply hang a camera bag or additional weight on the retractable hook at the base of the center column.
The Arca Swiss compatible BH-120 ball head allows you to use any Arca Swiss compatible quick-release hot shoe; you can purchase additional QS-64s for multiple cameras. If you need specific quick-release quick releases that Vanguard does not supply, simply choose an Arca Swiss compatible quick-release quick release from any brand.
The BH-120 ball head has an ergonomic locking knob that makes it easy to lock, even in cold and wet conditions where gloves are needed. It also includes an independent pan lock so you can adjust its level and take 360° panoramic shots with ease. To make sure you're not unscrewing the head by mistake while panning, the head is secured to the center column with thumbscrews that allow you to pan safely.
If you want to get the most out of your smartphone camera, for example, for a backstage shot, this travel tripod kit includes a smartphone connector for any smartphone up to 87 mm wide. To maximize stability (or to allow you to use the monopod as a selfie stick) it also includes a Bluetooth remote shutter release so you don't have to fiddle with your phone while shooting.
