A groundbreaking innovation: The first of its kind, the ALTA GH-300T pistol grip head has been further improved over its predecessor version (yet still with multiple awards). With a precise trigger, the ALTA GH-300T reinvents the standard of what a tripod head can do for you. This industry-leading head with a remote shutter release built into the handle allows you to trigger your camera's shutter without taking your hand off the handle. It's ideal for tracking and capturing fast-moving subjects, even while making zoom lens adjustments. To operate in bulb or "B" mode, simply slide up the shutter release mechanism to manually control the exposure time. The ALTA GH-300T employs a universal 2.5mm DC shutter release cable connector. The ball release system with pistol style handle allows you to easily unlock, reposition and lock the gear in place. The head release allows 360-degree swing free movement, -32 to + 90 degrees of side-to-side tilt and -8 to + 90 degrees of backward tilt movement all the way to the front. It instantly locks into place by simply shifting the trigger down.
The ALTA GH-300T provides smooth movement with impressive ergonomic control; thanks to its anodized center ball and position release grip system. Its friction control system allows you to modify the level of ball resistance to adapt to the changing weight of the equipment. The ALTA GH-300T also features two axes for panning: a 72-point click panning base just below the camera's mounting plate for perfectly aligned panoramic images, and a second 360-degree panning base on the tripod base for horizontal panning and tracking of moving subjects. With a locking force of 6kg, the ALTA GH-300T supports large and standard telephoto zoom lenses without sacrificing security (your expensive equipment stays in place, so you don't have to worry). It's universal Arca size, 38mm quick release system with clamping knob and safety pin compatible with other 38mm systems and allows for micro adjustments (forward and backward) while providing a stable center of gravity without the worry of accidental release. The ALTA GH-300T handle also rotates 360 degrees to one of 8 positions for maximum comfort while shooting.
