The MiniTrack LX Quattro from Omegon is a mini mount for astronomical photography with wide-angle lenses and lightweight telephoto lenses. With it you will get fascinating pictures of the starry sky, even if you have no previous experience in astronomical photography.
This Astrotracker works purely mechanically, without batteries, and can now also handle heavy cameras and lenses weighing up to 4 kilograms. But there's even more: we've redesigned the MiniTrack Quattro from the ground up and it's now better than ever - get addictive results in astronomical photography!
A summary of the advantages:

- It is an ideal mount for general shots of the starry sky and for telephoto lenses.
- It fits in any backpack - perfect for traveling, wherever the road takes you.
The special advantages of the MiniTrack LX Quattro:
- Even more rugged: the new MiniTrack can handle heavy cameras weighing up to 4 kg.

- Newly developed spring system: thanks to a stronger spring system that replaces the counterweight, camera tracking is reliable even with heavy one-sided loads.
- The MiniTrack is made from a single piece of machined aluminum: a high-quality, very stable CNC structure that makes it a great companion on all your excursions.
- With the optical Polar finder you will enjoy precise alignment with the celestial pole. - Optionally available is the Omegon Polar finder illuminator for the MiniTrack LX 2, LX3, LX Quattro and EQ mounts with light unit

Better astronomical photos at home and on the road
Now, in addition to vacation photos, you can also bring back stunning astronomical photos from your travels. It's easier than you think. All you need is a tripod, the MiniTrack, a tripod head and your camera. If you boil it down to the essentials, the goal is to get good pictures that anyone can take. And that's how it's done...
60-minute mechanical tracking
The MiniTrack has a mechanical heart: there's no room for electronics here. A precise mechanism tracks your camera with pinpoint accuracy. Just wind up the MiniTrack like an analog watch to activate the tracking. This mount never fails, even in freezing temperatures. Even with telephoto lenses, its new mount keeps a cool head. Not for nothing has this expert in wide-field photography won the hearts of amateur astronomers.
the world's smallest counterweight?
The MiniTrack LX Quattro has a completely new spring system. It is not a counterweight, but it works as if it were. The LX Quattro is still as compact and comfortable for travel as ever, it just got better and stronger. The spring acts directly on the axis and follows your camera like a strong, precise arm.
Tip: to achieve the ideal tracking speed the mechanism should move between 130 and 135 times per minute. Depending on the weight of your camera, you may have to adjust the spring tension. We recommend that you measure the number of ticks per minute with your phone via a TapTempo BPM app. These apps actually come from the music industry, where they are used to measure the tempo of a piece of music automatically. You can use such applications and measure the speed of the MiniTrack.
Needle bearing to accurately follow the stars
The integrated needle roller bearing is to the new MiniTrack what power steering is to a car: it makes it run smoothly, as if it were in the clouds. This is exactly what is needed, because it allows the MiniTrack to follow the stars smoothly and precisely, even at a higher weight.
Great inside and out: CNC solid aluminum housing
The structure of the MiniTrack LX Quattro, made from a single piece of aluminum, is a real eye-catcher. Nothing has been left to chance here, which makes this model even more stable. Whatever you ask of your MiniTrack, it will accompany you to the mountains or on your travels so that you can enjoy all your astronomical adventures without any worries.
Large load capacity of 4 kilograms
The MiniTrack is now even more robust and can carry cameras weighing up to 4 kilograms. At the same time, our developers have retained its old proven shape, so you can carry it in any pocket. If you have always wanted to use a large and very fast lens, but couldn't because of its size, now you can.
Find the celestial pole more accurately
Easily find the celestial pole with the optical Polar finder. The MiniTrack comes with a mount and Polar finder like those used with the larger mounts. This makes it even easier to align the MiniTrack to take pictures of stars that appear as points.
Fits on any photographic tripod
The MiniTrack has two connections: to the tripod and to your camera or ball head. Attach the mount to your photographic tripod as usual using a 1/4" thread and align the MiniTrack. On the other side, mount a ball head with a 3/8" thread.
GP plate for the mount
Simply place the MiniTrack on an equatorial wedge. No prism rail is needed for this, as it has an integrated Vixen GP type plate. Everything is cast in one piece, so you never have to waste time with screws or hex keys again.
what if you want to mount the MiniTrack on a tilt head? There is an integrated 1/4" and 3/8" thread for that.
Invented by Cristian Fattinnanzi, developed by Omegon
The MiniTrack is a development of the Italian Christian Fattinnanzi which Omegon has continued to improve technically together with the inventor. This mount has become a real bestseller and is used by thousands of astrophotographers all over the world. To ensure consistently high quality, we manufacture the MiniTrack exclusively in Portugal, where it is assembled and tested by our skilled workers.
With this fully mechanical mini mount, you'll be taking astronomical photographs in no time at all. No need to look for a power source, no need to worry about charging or batteries. Just get on with taking pictures, anytime, anywhere.
