Equatorial mount Skywatcher Star Adventurer GTi with tripod
The new Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer GTi mount is easy to use and provides various combinations to meet all your astrophotography needs. It is a high precision, GOTO mount for fast search of astronomical objects and is a stable and rugged mount for compact equipment. It is small and portable. It is the best choice for traveling astronomy, astronomical photography and observation enthusiasts.
Since its introduction in 2014, the Star Adventurer has been at the forefront of the lightweight, portable astroimaging revolution. And now, with the Star Adventurer GTi, Skywatcher takes the next step with full GoTo performance in a compact package.
The new Star Adventurer GTi incorporates an illuminated polar finder for precise alignment in EQ mode, USB ports, autoguider, Vixen style dovetail, SynScan hand controller (optional) and SNAP shutter control for your DSLR (programmable via Sky-Watcher's free SynScan Pro app for iOS and Android). The Star Adventurer GTi also includes a dual-position counterweight for use at low latitudes, as well as full smartphone control via Wi-Fi.
With the added GoTo function, we will also have multiple tracking speeds, including lunar, solar and sidereal.
With its 5Kg carrying capacity (considering its weight of just over 2Kg), the Star Adventurer is well equipped to handle your DLSR or mirrorless camera with a wide-angle or telephoto lens plus accessories, a small aperture astrograph with a dedicated astronomical camera, or even small optical tubes.
Available in two configurations (with or without tripod and extension column), the Star Adventurer GTi is the perfect mount for the astrophotographer who wants the ultimate in performance and portability.
The Star-Adventurer GTi version with tripod
The full version of the Star-Adventurer GTi mount comes with a sturdy, height-adjustable tripod (68 cm to 113 cm) with an extension column. The tripod weighs only 2.5 kg so as not to overload the mount. A 21 cm long extension column is included to prevent long optical tubes and their equipment from coming into contact with the tripod when aiming near the zenith.
