These truly pocket-sized binoculars with 6x magnification are for solar observation only. You can safely view and study large sunspots, transits and solar eclipses. The image of the Sun is displayed in a pleasing orange color, rather than a harsh bluish-white, as with other white light filters.

The Lunt Mini SUN binoculars have a white light filter film installed inside. This makes solar observation 100% safe. Sunlight is reduced to a comfortable 0.00001% transmission and all ultraviolet and infrared components are completely and safely blocked.
