After 15 years offering one of the star products of Baader Planetarium, this manufacturer goes one step further in the range of filters for solar observation. Now you can have your ASSF filter with barrel for your telescope without resorting to complicated DIY. Telescopiomania offers you this barrel specially designed to be tension-free and to provide a fantastic temperature compensation. This product is available in diameters ranging from 50 to 100 mm.
These solar filters are ideal for binoculars and telephoto lenses. The filter holder has a cut-out end for proper and convenient use with binoculars. Remember that for binoculars or binoculars you need to order 2 units.
The film, of high quality and suitable for solar photography, is mounted tension-free so as not to cause any damage to the coating of your optics. This is achieved by a specially designed plastic device located at the bottom of the film that has the same coefficient of thermal expansion as aluminum foil. This ensures that the temperature rise caused by sunlight does not cause stress on the material that makes up the equipment.
The filter allows leeway at the specified aperture of 10 mm above or below to perfectly match your optics.
The filter is supplied with pins including screws and washers. The centering pins have a rubber profile and can be adjusted over a wide range of tube diameter, keeping your filter bombproof! For the more meticulous users who want extra fixation the filter incorporates three Velcro safety straps.
