After 15 years offering one of the star products of Baader Planetarium, this manufacturer goes one step further in the range of filters for solar observation. Now you can have your ASSF filter with barrel for your telescope without resorting to complicated DIY. Telescopiomania offers you this barrel specially designed to be tension-free and to provide a fantastic temperature compensation. This product is available in diameters ranging from 80 to 280 mm.
These solar filters are ideal for spotting scopes, small to medium sized amateur telescopes and telephoto lenses.
The high quality film, suitable for solar photography, is mounted tension-free so as not to cause any damage to the coating of your optics. This is achieved with a specially designed plastic device located at the bottom of the film that has the same coefficient of thermal expansion as aluminum foil. This ensures that the temperature rise caused by sunlight does not cause stresses on the material that makes up the equipment.
The filter is supplied with pins including screws and washers. The centering pins have a rubber profile and can be adjusted over a wide range of the tube diameter - this keeps your filter bomb-proof! For the more meticulous users who want extra fixation the filter incorporates three Velcro safety straps.
This model is for telescopes with 280 mm aperture.
