Great QHY163M/C camera. With a relatively large sensor, 4/3 inch, CMOS technology, available in both monochrome and color. It has exceptionally low read noise (as low as 1 electron), low dark current and 2-stage cooling capable of lowering the temperature to 40°C below ambient. The sensor is insulated and the window is heated to prevent condensation. It features USB 3.0 and downloads 16 megapixel images at 23 FPS, 30 FPS for 4K HD video.
128MB DDR buffer
so you won't lose a single frame in long sequences! Like the other cameras in the Cooled Cmos QHYCCD family, the QHY163 features a 128MB DDRII image buffer, which is a great help for transferring large images and prevents frame loss in long sequences. It also aids in smoother operation on slower computers or computers with a USB 2.0 port. This buffer also helps in applications with multiple cameras and avoids USB transfer problems. For example, 4 QHY163M cameras can be used on the same computer to create an LRGB image.
Complete Anti-Humidity Solution
QHY has more than 10 years of experience in the design of refrigerated chambers which has allowed it to develop an anti-humidity technology consisting of a fully air proof chamber with a CMOS window heater desiccant reservoir. This technology makes it possible to forget about dew on sensors and optical windows, even in the most humid environments.
