ASI6200MM Pro uses Sony's latest native 16-bit Full Frame IMX455 Full Frame format ADC sensor. It has 3.76µm, ultra-low read noise of 1.2e and an innovative breakthrough resulting in zero brightness at the amplifier.

1. Sony IMX455 full-frame sensor (36 × 24 mm / diagonal 43.3 mm), 61-62 MP resolution (9 576 × 6 388), 3.76 µm pixel size, for capturing exceptional detail with large field of view

2. 16-bit native, non-simulated A/D converter, offering a true dynamic range of up to 14 stops, ensuring smooth gradations and rich contrasts in nebulae and bright stars

3. Full well depth of ≈ 51,400 electrons, preventing saturation of stars on long exposures and allowing more signal to be captured without distortion

4. Ultra-low read noise (\~1.2 e- in HCG mode at 100 gain), improving signal-to-noise ratio, especially on faint deep sky objects

5. Zero amp-glow technology, which eliminates electronic edge glow during long exposures, providing pure dark frames with no artifacts

6. Two-stage TEC cooling (down to -35°C relative to ambient temperature), effectively reducing dark current and thermal noise during long exposures

7. Built-in, software-controllable 5 W polyimide window heater to prevent condensation in adverse ambient conditions

8. USB 3.0 interface + 512 MB DDR3 buffer, designed for stable, frame-loss-free transfers during large, high-speed captures (≈ 3.5 fps at full resolution)
