CMOS camera ZWO ASI 183MM Mono.
The ZWO ASI183MM camera uses the state-of-the-art monochrome sensor from SONY Exmor R BSI IMX183. With approximately 20 million pixels, this camera belongs to the large CMOS astronomical cameras. Due to the pixel size of only 2.4 μm, the resolution of the camera is sensational. This makes the ASI183 especially attractive for sharp and fast telescopes and camera lenses.
One of the outstanding features of the ASI183 is the sensational light sensitivity. Its quantum efficiency of 84%, thanks to BACK ILLUMINATION technology, and the very low brightness of the amplifier make the camera very suitable for all astronomical applications.
In direct comparison to DSLR cameras, the ASI183MM offered by Telescopiomania convinces with its superior light sensitivity, smoother image acquisition and more depth of field, plus the stars saturate less quickly.
Fields of application of the ASI183MM color CMOS camera:
-
-
-
-
- Stunning lunar and planetary images and videos. The high sensitivity allows to "freeze" the view. Through the small pixels a high resolution of the telescope can be achieved without additional optical elements.
- Autoguiding is possible through its ST-4 interface. Thanks to its high resolution, it can guide large telescopes with guiding telescopes from an aperture of 50mm. At the same time, the camera weighs only 120 grams and barely loads the focuser.
- Deep sky images of the highest quality with short exposure times, thanks to the modern Sony sensor it incorporates. After only a few seconds, you can already see stars and deep sky objects that cannot be seen through the telescope with your eyes. Light sensitivity is much higher than with a conventional DSLR.
