The new Atik 460EX Color CCD camera is the next step in the astronomical CCD revolution. Incorporating the latest generation Sony™ EXview HAD CCD II™ technology and with a surface area twice as large as before, this camera stands out for its high quantum efficiency, low readout noise and excellent cooling management.

The cameras of the ATIK-4 series are an evolution of the ATIK-3 series cameras characterized by their narrow body. These cameras are particularly suitable if the camera has to be placed at the front of the telescope in a Hyperstar or Fastar configuration, as well as if it has to be integrated into a custom optical design and where camera slimness is a prerequisite.
The Atik 460EX Color is the new standard in high-performance cameras. Its excellent sensitivity provides an impressive result when working in narrow band or LRGB (color). Faint spots" are no longer so faint and are within the reach of amateur astronomers even with small instruments. The Atik 460EX Color has been designed with the best possible engineering for you. With the thinnest body of any camera of its type, the Atik 460EX is one of the lightest as well. But this has not come at the sacrifice of its performance or stability. Also the CCD sensor has a diagonal large enough to meet the needs of those who want to cover large regions of space, but at the same time is still small enough to be compatible with the use of 1.25" filters and even the aforementioned fastar or HyperStar systems at f/2.
