PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Planetary photography for beginners
This camera is great for getting started in the fascinating world of astronomical photography of the Solar System. You can share your photos of Jupiter, Saturn or the craters of the Moon with family and friends or experience astronomical observation with them live on the screen.
Deep sky astronomical photography
The high sensitivity of this modern CMOS sensor makes photographing nebulae and galaxies much easier than it was a few years ago. These faint objects are difficult to capture, but thanks to the high quantum efficiency and low readout noise of the sensor, you get details that cannot be seen with purely visual astronomy.
Autonomous guidance system
Short exposure times and high frequency of the guidance compensate for both large and small tracking errors of your mount. The compatibility between the camera and PHD2 and the ST4 port is a great advantage for autonomous guiding.
A functional form
The rugged anodized aluminum housing is shaped like a 31.7mm eyepiece and is compatible with any telescope. Since it is lightweight, your equipment will not have an additional burden. The camera has a C and CS thread mount and, with an adapter, a normal 3.17 mm filter thread. Therefore, small CCTV lenses as well as a wide selection of astronomical filters can be attached without any problems.
Transmission
A filter protects the sensor camera from dust and moisture. The color cameras Omegon Pro are equipped with a filter that blocks infrared. CMOS sensors also measure incident infrared light and make correct color reproduction in the final image impossible. In contrast, the Omegon Pro mono cameras have an anti-reflective window, which lets in ultraviolet and infrared light in addition to visible light. The additional filters give you full control over the transmission curve, a fundamental requirement for advanced photographic or photometric applications.
Convenient capture software
With the included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software you can learn how to control the camera quickly and easily. Correct camera settings are crucial in astro-photography. AstroPhotoCapture gives you full control over all essential parameters without having to navigate an overloaded interface. Simple tutorials explain the capture process step-by-step to successfully crown your first night of astro-photography. The software is compatible with Windows 8 and 10.
Compatibility
The Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with a wide range of capture programs through the common ASCOM and INDI interfaces. It also has native support for a growing number of PHD2 and N.I.N.A. programs.
