CMOS Camera ZWO ASI432MM Monochrome
The ASI432MM uses a Sony-IMX432 global shutter CMOS sensor. Its sensor size is 1.1″, with large 9.0µm pixels, 1.77 million pixels (1608x1104). In 12-bit ADC mode, it can output 120 frames per second at full resolution and has a read noise level as low as 2.9e.

CMOS Camera ZWO ASI432MM Monochrome
Large format, large FOV
The ASI432MM has a 1.1-inch large-format sensor and therefore a large field of view. The area is almost twice that of the ASI174MM, making it a better choice for solar and lunar imaging than the ASI174MM, which is an already recognized solar imaging camera.
Large pixels, high sensitivity
The 9um pixel size is almost 1.5 times larger than that of the ASI174MM. Thanks to its high sensitivity, images with finer colors and finer details are now possible. You can fully rely on its solar imaging performance in terms of both full disk and local details.
Global shutter
Being a global shutter camera, the ASI432MM also boasts a very high fps rate. Therefore, it is not only good for solar and lunar imaging, but also suitable for photographing the ISS and other fast moving objects.
Full well depth
The ASI432MM has a full well depth of 97ke, which is 3 times that of the ASI174MM. The greater full well depth gives the camera greater sensitivity. When you want to photograph the Sun's surface and prominences at the same time, you can get a very good quality image.
STARVIS
The ASI432MM can be considered an improvement of the ASI174MM. It adopts the latest SONY IMX432 sensor with advanced STARVIS technology.
This camera features a larger format and larger pixel size. In addition, the full well of the ASI432MM is three times larger than that of the ASI174MM. The dark current is also several times smaller.
Iterative upgrade
The ASI432MM is an upgraded camera from the ASI174MM. Compared to the ASI174MM, it has a larger frame and larger pixel size, providing users with a better choice for solar and lunar photography.
Readout noise
Compared with traditional CCD cameras, the readout noise of the ASI432 is extremely low. The built-in HCG mode can effectively reduce read noise at high gain and allows the camera to maintain the same high dynamic range as at low gain. When the gain is 140, the HCG mode is automatically activated and the dynamic range returns to 12-bit. When the gain is 400, the read noise is 2.4e.
Quantum efficiency
The QE curve and read noise are the most important parameters for measuring camera performance. Higher QE and lower read noise are necessary conditions to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of the image.
Anti-Amp Glow function
The Anti-Amp Glow function, developed by ZWO independently and used in ASI cameras, effectively limits the amp glow in the sensors and maximizes the cameras' photographic performance. As it is implemented directly at the hardware level, it does not require software control.
