The Photofinder Adapter Geoptik is used to mount finders on the flash shoe of a DSLR camera or to adapt to some startarckers like the Polarie from VIXEN among others.

Being able to adapt a finder on the flash shoe of a DSLR is especially useful if the camera is used in combination with a telephoto lens and a guide system like the Astrotrack. In most cases, the "Live view" mode of the cameras is too weak to see faint or deep sky objects and with a finder the framing of astrophotographs is greatly improved.
