The TSFRE50 angled erect image finder is a more advanced variant than the typical 8x50 finderscopes that abound on the market. It offers a few more advantages and now comes with a VIXEN / SkyWatcher / Celestron type finder mount and adapter shoe. Its greatest virtues are the fact that it displays the image erect, which facilitates the location of objects if we use star atlases and that thanks to being angled 90º the comfort in the observation improves notably!
General features of the TSFRE50:
-High definition and high contrast image with multi-coated achromatic optics.
-Easy helical focusing for the eyepiece.
-1.25" adaption for standard eyepieces. Virtually any type of 1.25" eyepiece can be used with this finder.
- Sturdy, CNC machined finder mount with pre-centered clamp function for quick removal.
- An OPTIONAL illuminator can be used to illuminate an OPTIONAL reticle eyepiece to optimize performance.
- Provides an upright image (not inverted like most finderscopes)
- The viewing position can be rotated 360º without having to release the clamp mount on the finder.
TSFRE50 Technical Specifications:
Diameter: 50mm
Focal length: 208mm
Magnificationwith 20mm eyepiece (optional): 10x
Apparent field of view with 20mm eyepiece (optional): 55º
Actual field of view with 20mm eyepiece (optional): 6.8º (almost 14 times the diameter of the full Moon!)
Weight without clamp: 460 gr.
Weight with clamp: 730 gr.
Adaptation of the finder shoe to the telescope:
The finder shoe has 3 4mm holes along the central axis. The distance between the holes is 20mm center to center. It is possible to adapt it to most telescopes using at least one of the three holes.
A big advantage: it accepts 1.25" eyepieces:
The finder accepts standard 1.25" eyepieces. Therefore, the user can easily achieve higher magnifications up to 100x using the correct eyepieces. The optical quality is very good, which even allows the user to use this finder for wide field deep sky observation.
Advantage for astrophotography:
If you have a camera with a small sensor you already know that centering the object in the camera field can be difficult. A 10x finder may not be accurate enough. But using the right eyepieces you will be able to center the object very accurately with this finder.
20mm reticle eyepiece + Reticle Illuminator (available as optional accessories):
This high-quality eyepiece deserves to have a section of its own. We recommend this very interesting wide-field eyepiece with an integrated precision reticle. An optional illuminator can be screwed onto the side of the eyepiece to have the reticle illuminated for easy centering and spotting.
Recommended eyepiece specifications (optional):
Diameter: 1.25"
Focal length: 20mm
Apparent field of view: 55º
Standard thread for illuminator
Multi-treated treatment
* This eyepiece can also be used as a reticle eyepiece, for guiding, centering, etc. on the main telescope
IMPORTANT: Under this reference only the finder is supplied, without eyepiece and reticle illuminator.
