50 mm angle finder TS Optics with vertical image and mirrorless image
TSFRE50T2 is more than just a finder. The good 2-element objective with 50 mm diameter already shows many hundreds of deep sky objects in combination with the illuminatable TSIR20 reticle eyepiece.
The conversion to a guide scope for astrophotography is done in a few simple steps
When removing the prism from the tube, you will find an M28 female thread. This adapter can be removed by loosening the three radial screws. The T2 female thread is now visible, from which further adaptations can be made. From the internal thread there is a very generous working distance of 90 mm to the focus. This means that all common cameras and even correctors can be integrated. We especially recommend the following adaptation:
♦ TSHeli1 helical focuser with male T2 connection thread on the telescope side, the focuser fits directly into the female T2 thread. The working distance of T2 and 1.25" connection is from 33mm to 43mm.
♦ You can shorten the working distance with the matching T2 extension tubes. The extension simply comes between the finder and the helical focuser.
The advantages and features of TSFRE50T2 product:
- High quality metal design for the best possible stability
- Good 2-element lens with multicoating
- Focusing by rotating the 1.25" helical focuser on the eyepiece side for observation
- T2 female thread available for conversion to a compact guide scope
- Solid clamping by means of compression ring
- Vertical, mirrorless image through the 90° Amici prism
- Viewing position can be rotated in desired direction
- Adjustable tube rings have plastic-tipped metal screws to prevent scratches on the telescope
- The finder fits standard finder mounts such as those supplied by Skywatcher, Celestron, GSO, ....
Eyepiece and autoguider mount for TSFRE50T2:
The finder focus is about 5 mm above the 1.25" receptacle of the Amici prism. This is sufficient for many eyepieces, such as Plössl eyepieces. A very good eyepiece for centering is the TSIR20 illuminating reticle eyepiece, which is linked in the accessory recommendations.
Even without the T2 connection, the finder is suitable for autoguiding. However, the autoguider must have a 1.25" housing, otherwise it will fail to focus. The T2 connection, on the other hand, will bring you in focus with all cameras.
