Description

This polar finder is designed to be attached parallel (offset) to the polar axis of the Sky-Watcher EQ8 GOTO equatorial mount.

It is very useful for precise setting of long exposure images.

The polar finder is equipped with a reticle with a polar star position marker.

Once the polar finder is mounted and calibrated, simply match the date and time of observation and move the mount using the fine latitude and azimuth movements to position the pole star in the crosshair (symbolized by a small circle).

This manipulation aligns the mount almost instantaneously with the celestial pole.
