Both reassuring and disturbing, the Moon changes shape and colors, makes the oceans rise and the plants grow. Goddess or God, we have always venerated it. We always listen to her, because the Moon speaks to us and dictates the time: the time that passes, the time that passes, the time that passes. It directs the life of humanity to its rhythm. And we still do not know all the faces of the Moon.

Fatoumata Kebe is an outstanding astronomer who wants to bring the passion for the stars to everyone. She discovers, in a pleasant and accessible work, the mysteries of the Moon and all that it brings to us from the beginning of time until mankind first climbed it.

"The first drawing of the surface of the Moon was made in 1609 by Thomas Harriot, an English mathematician and astronomer. Surely you know his drawings made with sepia ink in which the craters look like small volcanoes. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry must have had these simple and poetic sketches of Harriot very much in mind when he drew the planet of the Little Prince"
