Jordi Aloy i Domènech

Jordi Aloy i Domènech (Barcelona, 1964) studied physical sciences at the University of Barcelona. A vocational astronomer since he was very young, he has a long experience in amateur astronomy, where he has been a member of the most important astronomical groups in our country, such as the Agrupació Astronòmica de Sabadell or Aster, Agrupació Astronòmica de Barcelona, an organization that he presided from 1994 to 1998. He is the author of numerous articles of divulgation and research in the field of astronomy and astrophysics that have been published in various national and foreign media and specialized journals. From 1990 to 2009 he worked as a planetarium operator at the Science Museum of the Fundació "la Caixa" (currently "CosmoCaixa"), where he also carried out courses and tasks of scripting, programming and execution of scientific activities both for the general public and for school audiences. He currently works in the Area of Science, Research and Environment of the "la Caixa" Foundation as head of the planetarium, and also develops projects related to scientific exhibitions.
