Telescope TS-Optics 10" f/8 PRO Ritchey-Chrétien
This high quality telescope is the result of years of development work. The result is an RC telescope in the absolute highest range. Even with high-resolution sensors, the stars are captured accurately. However, especially with RC telescopes, it is also important to have perfect and sophisticated mechanics. CFF Telescopes manufactures the complete mechanics for these selected Teleskop Service optics, from the mirror cell to the single tube segments.
Each telescope is a unique production. The mechanics are built around the optics. The result is a telescope that works from the ground up and delivers outstanding photographic and visual results, following the motto "the sky is the limit". Of course, Teleskop-Service inspects each TS PRO RC on the optical bench before shipment.
The 10" PRO-RC remains mobile and can be attached with mounts of the EQ6 class. However, it is also suitable for small observatories. With a weight of about 15 kg, the RC can still be handled well by one person.
Astrophotography with the TS-Optics 10" PRO RC:
RC telescopes are primarily used for astrophotography. Even without a corrector, the RC offers a fairly high speed (f/8) and a large usable field. Sensors up to about 30 mm diameter can be used without corrector. It has a pure mirror system without lenses in the optical path. Therefore, infrared light can be used or even infrared photography can be done with suitable filters.
The 10" PRO RC has a large illuminated image field of 44 mm diameter. The use of full-format sensors or even larger sensors is also possible. But in this case we recommend image field correctors. The correctors should be sunk into the focuser.
TSRCRED - Reducer and corrector 0.8x for f/8 RC telescopes
This corrector is specially designed for RC telescopes. It improves the focal ratio from f/8 to f/6.4 and shortens the focal length to 1625 mm. On the camera side, the corrector has the male thread M68x1. A working distance of 82 mm to the camera sensor is available. Therefore, it has enough space for all common cameras, off-axis guides and other photographic accessories.
The adaptation to the female thread M68x1 of the focuser is done with the adapter M78a-M68a. The adapter has an effective height of 8.3 mm. The working distance from the M68x1 thread of the adapter is therefore 73.7 mm.
Other correctors suitable for the RC telescope: The TSRCFLAT3 can also be adapted, this corrector also has to be sunk into the focuser. In addition to the M78a-M68a adapter, you also need the M69a-M68a transition adapter. We will be happy to advise you.
A simple and inexpensive solution is the TSRCFLAT2, which is simply clamped on 2". The corrector can handle sensors up to full frame format (with FLAT). For correctors up to APS-C format, the CCD47 is suitable.
