90° dielectric mirror diagonals are always on every amateur astronomer's to-buy list of accessories. The development team at Auriga has thought of everything when designing this superb dielectric diagonal: from the "Quick Lock" mechanical system with its convenient knurling to the aesthetics, not forgetting, of course, the optical quality.

• Dielectric treatment R = 0.99 and 1/10 lambda: Most mirror diagonals on the market provide a reflectivity of just over 90% of the original image, so that a superb original image is degraded by using an inexpensive diagonal. In contrast, the diagonal Auriga, has a dielectric reflective surface that reflects 99% of the incident light back to the eyepiece. The result? Bright, contrasty images with no appreciable loss in terms of contrast modulation. The dielectric treatment not only allows exceptional reflectivity levels thanks to the optical correction of 1/10 lambda, but also prevents unwanted losses of definition and contrast in your instrument, for perfect and flawless observations, especially in the case of high-resolution observations.
• Quick Lock System: Do you have large and heavy eyepieces and want to use them with your telescope? The convenient and effective Quick Lock system allows a secure grip on the barrel of any eyepiece. Simply loosen the clamping ring, insert the eyepiece and tighten the ring again to lock the eyepiece in the desired position; the knurled knurling allows a secure grip on the ring. Whether the eyepieces are 31.8 mm or 50.8 mm in diameter, you will be able to use them without any problem and without worrying about the marks left on the barrels by the screw clamping systems. In fact, the classic screw locking system also has a tendency to tilt the eyepiece with respect to the diagonal; with the Quick Lock system, on the other hand, you will ensure that your optical train is always perfectly aligned, without any tendency to tilt that could ruin your observations, even when inserting large and heavy Barlow lenses or other accessories. This way, you will have exciting and comfortable observations of the beauties of the Cosmos at your disposal.

To use a classic 31.8mm eyepiece, the AURIGA 2" diagonal comes with a 50.8mm to 31.8mm (2" to 1.25") adapter, so you can have maximum versatility in your observations, using eyepieces of any type and size.
