If you want to power your Eagle (which in turn can power all other connected devices) and use it in a fixed location such as an observatory, it can be connected with this adapter to the fixed mains. This 12V power supply has on one side the screw connector for Eagle, and on the other side the plug to the mains socket (compatible with 100 to 240 V mains).

The Eagle fixed line power supply is available in two versions: 5A and 12A. Choose the one that best suits your needs based on the consumption of the accessories supplied by Eagle. For example, if you are using a cooled CCD camera (which usually has a high current draw) it is best to use the 12A power supply. If you are using a digital SLR camera, you can use the 5A adapter.

Here are some examples, taking into account the peak consumption for each element of the system:

Low power system:

• Eagle: peak consumption 2A (average consumption: 0.6 A)
• Digital SLR uncooled: 0 demand (camera battery power supply)
• AZ-EQ6 SynScan: maximum power consumption 2A (average consumption: 1A)
• Autoguide: mono QHY5L-II: 0 consumption (Eagle USB port power)
• 4A maximum total power consumption. For this system the 5A adapter is fine

High power consumption system:

• Eagle: max consumption 2A (average consumption: 0.6A)
• CCD cooled: 4A maximum power consumption (average consumption: 3A)
• AZ-EQ6 SynScan: max. power consumption 2A (average consumption: 1A)
• Autoguide: mono QHY5L-II: 0 power consumption (Eagle USB port power)
• 8A maximum total power consumption. For this system the 12A adapter is very good
