Adapter TS Tilter anti-flexion of the optical train
The TS Tilter Adapter compensates for bending of the optical train, allowing correct alignment of the focal plane and orientation of the camera sensor.
Many astronomical photographers know the problem: you focus as accurately as possible, but in one or two corners, the stars are not dots. Often, the result is either a compromise by "cheating" the focus to a point where most of the image field has the best possible focus or you end up cropping the image.
Some possible causes of this problem:
- Skewed camera sensor (tenths of a millimeter are sufficient)
- Tilted focuser
- Inclined focal plane of the telescope (common in Newtonian telescopes)
- Inclined optical accessories due to inaccurate clamping
Here is the solution:
With the TS T2 Tilter, the camera sensor is aligned with the focal plane regardless of the cause of the tilt. The orientation of the entire optical train is maintained.
The adjustment is done by means of knurled screws, can be performed quickly and avoids loss of tools.
Technical features:
- T2 thread connection
- Only 11 mm optical path from female T2 thread to female T2 thread
- T2 conversion adapter included: converts T2 female thread to T2 male thread
- Stable metal design
- Easy adjustment without tools
- Diameter: 78 mm
- Interface: T2 - each side
- Adjustment: by means of knurled screws
