♦ Connection via M48x0.75 thread
only 11 mm optical path
♦ Robust metal construction
♦ Easy adjustment without tools by means of knurled screws
♦ You can unscrew the M48 reversing ring and thus decide on which side you have the external thread.
Adjusting the image plane and sensor position
Many astrophotographers know the problem: you focus as best as possible and in 1-2 corners the sharpness is still not satisfactory. The result is a lazy compromise by changing the focus setting until the stars appear relatively uniformly "sharp" or by simply cropping the corner.
Some possible causes of this problem:
A slight tilt of the camera sensor (a few fractions of a millimeter is sufficient).
A tilt of the focuser.
A slight tilt of the telescope field plane (very common in Newtonian telescopes).
A tilt of the eyepiece side accessories during clamping.
Here is the solution:
With the TS M48-Tilter you only have to adjust the camera chip to the telescope field, no matter where the cause of the tilt comes from. Then you only have to maintain the orientation of the entire adapter, the correctors and the camera at all times.
Adjustment is done with thumbscrews, it is easy and avoids losing tools.
Features:
Diameter: 88 mm
Connection: M48x075 internal thread on both sides
Height: 11 mm without reversing adapter
M48 thread reversal: reverses the M48 internal thread to an external thread on one side - height 2 mm
Adjustment: by means of knurled screws
