The astronomical reflector telescope Omegon 130/920 EQ-2 is precisely the telescope you need to take your first steps in astronomy. Thanks to its high luminous power, it is the ideal tool for observing deep sky objects. Or for observing Saturn with its ring system or the Ring Nebula with its fine haze - this telescope offers much more possibilities.
The 130/920 optical system:
The 130mm aperture actually offers approximately 30% more light capacity than the smaller 114/900mm model. Compared to the human eye, the optical system concentrates 344 times more light . These features demonstrate that this class of telescopes already offers many possibilities. Successful astronomical observation does not always depend on the magnification factor, but under favorable conditions a magnification of up to 260 times is recommended. The resolving power and the magnification factor already offer you the possibility to observe some details of some planets. The telescope is equipped with a 1.25" eyepiece holder that can be combined with all current standard eyepieces. And when making observations of objects outside the Solar System, you will discover many astronomical objects such as star clusters, emission nebulae and even galaxies.
do you want to take pictures? This optical system, in combination with a simple digital camera and an optional adapter, will already allow you to take interesting pictures of the moon.
The N130/920 Newtonian reflecting telescope from Omegon is easy to align . This is important, as a well-aligned telescope offers the best possible performance. The primary and secondary mirrors are equipped with adjustment screws in case they need to be collimated.
Features:
- 130mm aperture optical system
- LED finder for easy finding of astronomical objects
- Robust secondary mirror housing
- 1.25'' eyepiece holder for all common 1.25'' eyepieces and filters
- T-2 thread for combination with a DSLR camera
- Collimation screws for primary and secondary mirrors
- Tube weight 3.4 Kg/ tube outer diameter 168mm
The EQ-2mount:
This equatorial mount offers the possibility of alignment to the North Star. It can be aligned by varying the inclination of the polar axis according to the latitude at which it is located. By fine movement of the right ascension and declination axes it is possible to smoothly target and track astronomical objects. A counterweight ensures the correct balance of the optical system. This mount ensures a secure and low-vibration support for small telescopes. The aluminum tripod can be adjusted and positioned with a height between 70cm and 120 cm while the accessory tray can hold eyepieces or other accessories. The EQ-2 mount, the second smallest, is extremely lightweight and compact, fitting in almost any travel bag. Novice users can mount it without any problems, even children are able to use it. As an option we offer a tracking motor for mounting on the straight ascent axis.
The following material is included:
- EQ-2 equatorial mount
- Sturdy aluminum tripod (adjustable from 70cm to 120cm)
- Accessory holder
- Adapted counterweight
