Telescope Bresser Pollux-II N-150/1400 EQ3 with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter 4690900
Product Information "BRESSER Pollux-II 150/1400 EQ3 Reflector Telescope with Smartphone Adapter & Solar Filter"
Explore the wonders of the night sky with this complete telescope set. It includes everything you need to get started right away with the fascinating hobby of astronomy: the astronomical reflector telescope with 150 mm aperture and 1,400 mm focal length, the equatorial mount, the tripod and a wide range of accessories for exciting observations. Especially important for beginners: the system is very easy to use. Particularly the moon, planets and the sun are impressively visible through the Pollux-II.
### Powerful performance for your first celestial observations - the telescope
Take your first steps in astronomy with this classic "Newton" type reflector telescope. Because it is equipped with an additional lens inside the focuser, it belongs to the group of "catadioptric" optics. An advantage of this lens and mirror combination is that, despite its long focal length, the telescope tube is relatively short and therefore easy to transport. In addition, you will always enjoy a comfortable viewing position. With this telescope design, you do not observe from the rear, but from the front and from the side, preventing you from having to tilt, even when the telescope is pointed vertically to the sky.
The large 150 mm aperture collects a lot of light from celestial objects. In addition, the combination of 150 mm aperture and 1400 mm focal length results in a focal ratio of 1 to 9.3 (F/9.3). This allows you to enjoy your favorite objects with high magnifications and good contrast. Especially admire the planets or the details of the Moon with this beginner telescope. You can also observe some deep space objects, such as open clusters, globular clusters and bright planetary nebulae, like the Ring Nebula (M57) in the constellation Lyra.
but how close can you get to these celestial objects? The 150 mm aperture allows a resolution that reaches magnifications of up to 300x with sharp images. The technical capabilities can theoretically reach up to 1,050x using the included accessories. However, as magnification increases, image sharpness may gradually decrease. In addition, the right environmental conditions are key for high magnifications, as atmospheric turbulence ("seeing" conditions) always affects observing possibilities.
*note for nature lovers:** *Note for nature lovers:**
If you choose a Newtonian telescope like the Pollux-II, you will have a specialist in astronomical observation. However, the image is always displayed laterally inverted and upside down, which does not affect astronomical observation. However, this type of telescope is less suitable for nature and landscape observations during the daytime. If you want to explore nature with your new telescope, we recommend you to opt for one of BRESSER's refractor telescopes.
### Solid base for observing the sky - mount and tripod
have you found the perfect location for your nighttime adventure? Simply mount your astronomical telescope with the equatorial mount on the height-adjustable aluminum tripod. The special feature of this type of mount is that, after the so-called "alignment", by positioning an axis parallel to the terrestrial axis, it will only be necessary to compensate for the movement of the celestial bodies on that axis. To do this, it is sufficient to point the axis approximately towards Polaris. This is a great advantage over the azimuthal mount, where both axes move simultaneously. In addition, the two axes with fine adjustment allow precise and comfortable tracking. To keep accessories always at hand, they can be stored in the handy tray between the tripod legs.
*automates tracking:** ** For the equatorial E-mount
For the EQ-3 equatorial mount of this telescope, the tracking motor with item number 4951400 is available as an optional accessory. This eliminates the need to manually track a celestial object in the telescope by automatically keeping it in the eyepiece field of view. This makes observing the night sky even more comfortable.
### Everything you need, night and day - the accessories
The astronomical telescope includes a comprehensive set of accessories so you can start admiring the Moon, planets or Sun right away. At night, the LED finder helps you orient yourself in the sky. Once installed parallel to the tube and properly aligned, the small red dot indicates where the telescope is pointing when you look through it. So you can align the optics precisely and find celestial objects more quickly.
Vary your views of the universe: the two eyepieces allow you to observe your objects at different magnifications. Simply insert them into the telescope's focuser with their standard 1.25-inch (31.7 mm) diameter sleeves. Want to see even more detail? Use the 3x Barlow lens, which triples the magnification of the eyepieces.
If you want to make astronomical discoveries even during the day, use the solar filter to safely observe our star. This filter allows you to easily observe sunspots and the granulation of the Sun.
**CAUTION!** Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter.
*capture special moments with ease:** ** With the smartphone adapter, you can easily
With the smartphone adapter, you can use your phone as a camera for the telescope. This way, you can take your first photos of the Moon or the Sun, for example, and get started in astrophotography.
