The VEO ED 8420M is a lightweight, compact, rugged, waterproof and fogproof monocular with extra-low dispersion (ED) glass for maximum clarity, especially in low light conditions.

With this monocular you can get 8x closer to the action, while the 42mm objective lens, ED glass, BaK4 roof prism and advanced multi-coated lenses maximize transmitted light for a crisp , clear image. On the front element Vanguard has applied a robust, scratch, water and oil resistant membrane.

With a weight of only 300g and a compact design, it fits comfortably in one hand and in your pocket, making it an incredibly handy and portable monocular that you can easily take with you wherever you go. You'll have it ready to use at all times, offering a convenient and comfortable alternative to regular binoculars.

For use in the field, it has only one large, textured focusing wheel. This makes it easy and intuitive to focus the monocular, even in cold and wet conditions where gloves are needed. No need to fuss with diopters, just bring the monocular close to your eye and focus in a matter of seconds so you won't miss any detail, whether it's a butterfly on a flower in front of you or a fast-moving object in the distance.

For added stability in use, the monocular has a 1/4" thread that allows it to be attached to a standard monopod or tabletop tripod, either on the go or for long periods in a hideaway.

To keep the monocular protected, the IPX 7 water and fog resistant body is housed in thick rubber armor and caps are included to prevent scratches to the objective lens/eyepiece.

To maximize versatility, this monocular also includes a universal smartphone adapter and bluetooth remote for digiscoping, allowing you to get closer to the action while giving you the ability to photograph or video your subject with your cell phone. The adapter is suitable for almost any cell phone up to 55-87 mm wide.

The smartphone adapter fits easily and securely into the eyepiece of the monocular. Since smartphone camera lenses are in different locations, and even with multiple lenses, the adapter can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to align the monocular eyepiece with the smartphone camera lens.

When used with a tripod or monopod, you can also use the Bluetooth remote control, which allows you to trigger the camera of any IOS or Android smartphone without touching the smartphone, minimizing the risk of trepidation and blurred photos.

*Note that the Bluetooth remote control contains a CR2032 battery, so be sure to always keep it out of reach of children.
