12.5x eyepiece with Walton & Beckett G22 reticle for counting and determination of asbestos fibers

23.2 or 30mm eyepieces and 12.5x magnification.

This eyepiece provides the 500x magnification required for optimum determination of asbestos fibers and other fibers in suspension.

The eyepiece is supplied with the integrated WALTON & BECKETT reticle model G22.

The Walton and Beckett reticle is used for counting dust fibers (mainly asbestos and glass fiber), and is particularly effective when most of the fibers to be counted are less than 5 µm. The circle is divided into 4 parts by two diametric lines scaled in units of 3 and 5 µm respectively. The point is that 3 and 5 µm are the critical measurements of lengths and diameters used in fiber counting. Unlike other types of reticles, the Walton and Beckett has a number of shapes that are very useful for comparison with fibers. The shapes have been specially designed for direct comparison with fibers.
