This product includes only one WandererCover. The images on this page are for demonstration purposes and do not include any other telescopes or equipment shown.

what are the advantages of the WandererAstro V4-EC motorized flats panels?

Unique cable management solution prevents damage to power cables during operation; soft cushioned pads protect the telescope from scratches; includes cable ties for universal installation

Built-in micro encoder provides accurate, real-time information about the canopy position, allowing users to remotely check the angle status without opening the surveillance camera. Repeated positioning accuracy of up to ±0.25 degrees ensures accurate opening/closing operations at all times. Customizable opening/closing at any angle.

Incorporates an all-new motor with 50% higher load capacity, ensuring durability and preventing gearbox failure. Designed to withstand low temperatures, it operates reliably even in winter conditions as low as -20 °C (-4 °F). Tests have shown that the service life of the WandererCover V4-EC exceeds 3,000 opening and closing cycles.

In humid areas, dew will occur on the flat screen at night. If the dew does not evaporate in time, it is easy to wet the inside of the telescope after closing the cover, which can cause the lens to become wet and moldy in the long term.

The V4-EC has built-in heating elements to keep the lid dry overnight or quickly evaporate the dew in the morning. The dew heater can be controlled in the advanced NINA sequence using the "Device Actions and Commands" plugin.(Please refer to the user manual)

Thanks to the encoder, V4-EC provides automatic detection of open and closed position*. If your device is not nearby and manual adjustment is not possible, WandererCover can automatically detect obstacles and adjust the open and closed position.

*it is always recommended to manually adjust the opening and closing angles! Use automatic detection as the last option only when the flat plate angle cannot be observed. It is normal for the motor housing to heat up during automatic detection. The detected angle is affected by many factors and success is not guaranteed. Do not try several times if unsuccessful.

The new ASCOM controller makes it easy to use. It also supports automatic or manual port selection and connection of up to 6 devices simultaneously.

The new attenuation controller increases the PWM attenuation frequency by 100%, which effectively reduces banding and ensures no banding during exposures of 0.1 second or longer. The 255-level attenuation meets the needs of flat field capture, from color cameras to narrow band imaging. At maximum brightness, 3 nm narrow-band imaging takes only about 1 second.

The luminous diameter must be equal to or greater than the outer diameter of the telescope's dew shield.

For example: If a 100 mm telescope has a dew shield outer diameter of 120 mm, you should choose the 125 mm model.
