4 x 12 V DC sockets

A powerful MOSFET transistor provides "power" to your precious equipment. Supplies power to 4 outputs. Can turn on/off all four ports (* together - single channel).

Integrated voltmeter

An accurate voltmeter measures and displays in real time the input voltage. If the input is higher than 14.5 V, the power is cut off instantly.

Adjustable regulated output

An adjustable output is suitable to provide power to your DSLR / mirrorless camera / or your RPI3/4. You can adjust the voltage to different levels (3,5,7,8,9,12 Volts). Please note that we offer a wide range of battery couplers for Canon, Nikon, Sony, FUJI DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

Expansion Port (EXT)

The EXT (expansion) port is available for device expansion. This RJ12 jack allows connectivity of current and future Pegasus Astro products. Connected devices can be controlled from the Pocket Powerbox Unity platform or from a dedicated ASCOM controller.

The device is compatible with the eXternal motor controller

Integrated ammeter

An ammeter, which is installed just after the DC input, reports the total electrical current.

In addition, there are three additional ammeters: One for the 12 V quad outputs and two for the spray heater channels. This allows you to easily monitor the detailed and overall power consumption of your equipment.

Stand-alone out of the box operation

Pocket Powerbox Micro can operate "out of the box" as a stand-alone device. Just plug in the cables, set up the "autodew" functionality and every time you start the device, it will retrieve your settings. So if you don't like connecting to a PC every time, you don't have to. It's that simple.

Two-channel duty-cycle PWM outputs

Two pulse width modulation (PWM) outputs are capable of supplying power to your "thirsty" dew heaters. No more humidity spoiling your equipment and destroying your clear nights. These outputs can be remotely controlled from your laptop using the supplied software.

PWM Auto-tuning (Dew Outputs)

The controller can auto adjust the heater power levels by querying the Dew Point reading from the ambient sensor. Simply click "Auto" and let Pocket Powerbox Micro decide if it is time to turn on and fine tune the level of your dew heaters.

More than 10 A of total power

The powerbox has been designed to withstand up to 10 Amps of total current.

Power and fault status indication LEDs

The LED can flash in patterns to warn you of major power supply problems (e.g. overvoltage or undervoltage). In addition, the light can be turned off by the software. Our LED is very dim, but in case you don't like it you can turn it off.

Reverse polarity protection

Pocket Powerbox Micro is designed with reverse voltage polarity protection. It will save your night if you accidentally connect the main power supply with reverse polarity.

A hardware watchdog

A hardware watchdog restarts the device if for some reason there is no response from the controller for two seconds. A very useful feature in the unlikely event that the controller crashes, when you have a remote observatory and need to be sure that everything is working as it should.

Firmware upgradeable

The device is firmware upgradeable to support future features and bug fixes.

Compatible with

Pocket powerbox is fully compatible with ASCOM6. In combination with our main program acting as a server you can use our latest ASCOM 6.3 drivers supplied to:

Pass environmental settings to compatible software (e.g. Sequence Generator Pro / MaximDL ) (ASCOM ObservingConditions)

Switch on or off all 12V outputs (ASCOM switches).

Pocket powerbox is fully INDI compatible, combine it with Stellarmate or any other device that can use INDILib.
