1.25-inch Ultraviolet Infrared Cut-off Filter

The main function of the UV IR cut-off filter is to correct the color balance of the image. Because color cameras such as MARS-C are extremely sensitive to both infrared and ultraviolet light, you must use this 1.25-inch UV IR cut filter to cut both infrared and ultraviolet light if you want to obtain true-color images of the planets and moon. When taking solar pictures, the strong infrared radiation will also affect the image clarity and contrast, so it is also necessary to add an IR UV cut-off filter. It can be said that the UV IR-CUT filter is one of the most widely used filters in astrophotography.
