The Panoptic 27 mm is lighter and smaller than the Panoptic 35 mm. It provides higher magnification while retaining a wider field of view and with 19 mm eye relief, which is still a sufficiently long distance for spectacle wearers

Panoptic eyepieces from TeleVue Optics have a very impressive wide field of view with their 68o field of view and guarantee sharp images right to the edges, even in combination with telescopes with high light output.
In the eyepiece market, Panoptic eyepieces are undoubtedly in the top class in terms of performance. With a 68-degree field of view they offer the possibility of wonderful deep space observations. Even large astronomical objects can be viewed. In Dobsonian telescopes it is possible, because of the wide field, to apply large magnifications.
The field of view can be controlled almost completely without having to move the eye, as the human eye is capable of capturing about 65 degrees, in case of a comfortable position. Compared to Televue's Nagler and Ethos eyepieces, the Panoptic eyepieces are in the low price range and can therefore also be purchased with limited funds. And these eyepieces guarantee sharp images right to the edges and rich in contrast even in combination with Newtonian telescopes with high light potential in the f/5 range.
The overall sharpness of Panoptik eyepieces can be considered exceptional. The interocular distance is between 13 mm and 27 mm, depending on the focal length. Therefore it is possible to use most of the eyepieces also with glasses. Another advantage of Panoptic eyepieces lies in their comfortable and ergonomic use. Even inexperienced users can operate them without any problems.
The advantages to the eye:
- large 68-degree field of view
- outstanding sharpness
- can also be combined with fast Newtonian telescopes
- improblematic use
