Buying the complete SHO set allows for significant cost savings compared to buying the filters separately.

- All filters come in a sealed box that is non-shattering and easy to open.
A 6.5 nm to 7 nm FHWM provides higher contrast compared to, for example, 12 nm FHWM filters for better performance in urban areas with high light pollution and higher contrast for imaging faint objects. Artificial illumination emission lines (mercury (Hg) and sodium (Na), as well as sky glow, are completely suppressed, allowing long exposures in urban conditions. LED illumination outside the filter passband is also blocked.
Steep transmission curves with narrow pass bands provide high image contrast. Advanced UV/IR blocking coatings provide small star sizes even with refractive optics. AR (Anti-Reflective)
AR (anti-reflection) coatings suppress halo effects and internal reflections for more pleasing star images. Ultra-thin BK7 glass housed in a precision CNC-machined filter cell for stress-free, tilt-free mounting. Filters are 1 mm thick, 1/4-wave flatness and 30 arc-second parallelism.
