An entertaining book on astronomy based on ecology that awakens interest in an ancient science that has led us to discover objects of great beauty surrounded by great unknowns yet to be revealed. A review of history, the knowledge of ancient civilizations, the most outstanding discoveries of the present together with the basic fundamentals to enjoy astronomy.
The author makes us aware of the diversity of objects that we can observe today through instrumentation, its beauty and the lack of knowledge we have of many of them such as black holes, dark energy, neutrinos, etc. but knowing that between the lines always underlies a current truth and that is that there is no planet B or plan B. As much as we have searched and sent messages of contact, so far the only place where there is life is on this planet. It is such a surprise that people feel the first time you show them a galaxy or a nebula that one easily continues to enjoy this work of astronomy as if it were the first day. The moon, so close and slender. The rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter and its great red storm; star clusters almost as old as the universe itself, exoplanets, quasars, pulsars, red, blue or neutron stars, colorful constellations, the omnipresent Sun,... and so many other worlds to discover!
Only this Tiny Blue Planet lost in a small solar system of a galaxy seems to be the chosen one. And it is no small grace, for Life here is abundant and diverse. Not only is there intelligent Life but it is colorful, enigmatic, resilient, supportive, truly splendorous. Only this blue marble called Earth, no one more beautiful, no one more maternal and welcoming than she.
