Product Details

The Altair Astro Premium Luminance UV/IR cut-off filter is designed for imaging with monochrome or color CCD and CMOS cameras.

Ideal for color or monochrome planetary imaging, color or monochrome deepsky long exposures and video astronomy. It also eliminates UV and IR light that causes unsharp images in microscopy imaging.

Advanced UV/IR blocking coatings provide small star sizes even with refracting optics, and AR (anti-reflection) coatings reduce halo effects and internal reflections for more pleasing stellar images.

The Luminance UV/IR Cut filter is carefully matched to the other RGB and narrow-band filters in the range, with minimal overlap and precise adjustment within the transmission ranges. This can be seen in the spectral graph and results in pure colors with maximum efficiency.
