The Sky-Watcher 150i mount is based on the voltage wave design, commonly known as harmonic. The 300:1 gear ratio ensures smooth turning and tracking

The Wave 150i mount has a 300:1 gear ratio, which represents a relatively high level of tracking and slewing accuracy, as torque and rotation are split into smaller increments, lessening the impact of jerkiness between rotations that might be evident the longer the exposures. The maximum slew rate of the 150i is 2400x (10° per second).

Works at any latitude

The Sky-Watcher Wave 150i mount has a working latitude range of 0° to 90°, which means it can be successfully operated at any latitude and does not suffer from the limitations of more traditional geared mounts with counterweight obstruction and out-of-range zenith.

Supports multiple tracking
