The IDAS DTD - Dusk to Dawn - nebula filter not only offers transmission in the O-III and H-alpha range, but also lets through light from comet ion tails in the spectral range from 400 nm to 700 nm. In addition, this filter also increases the contrast of the continuous light spectrum of comet dust tails, galaxies and the Milky Way by using the NIR (near infrared) range, which is hardly disturbed by light pollution.
